Things Found In Books

Album & companion book inspired by forgotten fragments of human lives

Here there are songs that will make you smile, laugh, cry, contemplate your own self and your place in the wider world” Edinburgh Arts Review

A moving collaboration from two of the UK’s finest songwriters

Yvonne Lyon and Boo Hewerdine present ‘Things Found In Books’, an album of songs written in response to a notice board in Culzean Castle’s secondhand bookshop.

Notes, photographs, old receipts, letters, postcards and fragments of people’s lives had been collected and kept on the board on the wall among the bookshelves.

Forming an inimitable songwriting partnership, Yvonne and Boo weave these ephemeral stories with their own, creating an album full of nostalgia and beauty, hope and longing.

Following a hugely successful 2025 tour the duo is next touring May/Autumn 2026 and Festivals 2026 and taking bookings into 2027.
