Over £800 raised by songs to ‘transform young lives’

| January 8, 2015

We have raised over £800 for the Amber Foundation! Alison Williams, head of fundraising at Amber says “We have been delighted by the response to these hauntingly beautiful festive songs and have enjoyed listening to them ourselves over the past few weeks. The money raised will contribute towards the day to day costs of running our three centres for up to 90 young homeless and unemployed people across Devon, Wiltshire and Surrey – a huge thank you to Reg and Jess for your support; you’re an inspiration!”

Over the Christmas and New Year, Fromthewhitehouse artists Reg Meuross & Jess Vincent wrote two beautiful and very moving new songs, Reg’s on the theme of homelessness at Christmas, and Jess’ thinking about missing people who are no longer with us. We made the songs available as downloads to anyone who donated via our link to the amazing Amber Foundation, an amazing charity for homeless and unemployed youths. They don’t just help disadvantaged young people, they empower them, so that they find and keep a place to live and a job.

We may release the songs next Christmas, meanwhile you can have a listen to Reg & Jess CLICK HERE
