Reg Meuross is currently recording some of his beautiful vocals with Stockfisch Records in Germany. Gunter Pauler, who founded the independent audiophile orientated music label Stockfisch in 1974 ‘spotted’ Reg when he heard ‘England Green & England Grey’ and immediately invited him over to record an album which is likely to be a compilation of some of this talented singer-songwriter’s greatest songs. This album is likely to be released (under the Stockfisch label) in Spring.
2017 also heralds a new solo album from Reg Meuross, the second in a trilogy which began last year with ‘December’. ‘Faraway People’ is a fresh collection of songs which comment bravely on life as he sees it, bringing wide ranging stories, from the ravages of austerity and the injustice of the plight of refugees, to some of most beautifully disarming lyrics ever written. Reg has that rare gift of being able to touch people through his songs and performance, on a really human level. His words and music paint pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung. ‘Faraway People’ will be released by Reg’s own label, Hatsongs, later in the year.
