Reg Meuross – Faraway People album release and launch 28 July St Pancras Old Church London

| July 28, 2017

I’m sitting in my lovely friends’ house in London and feeling very emotional. The launch gig for Faraway People, Reg Meuross’ new album, is tonight, doors 7.30pm, 28 July in St Pancras Old Church. I’m listening to these songs now and remembering some little fragments of how each one was born. There’s always a story behind a good song as well as a story in the song itself. The full picture, this stunning album, is packed with important stories, and with characters who should be acknowledged and never be forgotten, with these Faraway People. Reg Meuross never tells us what to think, he never shouts or tells us how to vote. Instead he takes a beautifully clear light and shines it on what he sees in this strange world we live in and he speaks to us of injustice, of disparity, of love, of beauty and of humanity.
Really look forward to seeing all of you who are coming to share in the magic tonight. I’m privileged to be part of this. Bring tissues.
