The dates are Thurs 24th July 4.30 pm to sunday 27th July 4.30pm
From Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon focus will be on the process of songwriting and encouraging really useful practices as well as creative new ways into getting inspiration in and songs out. You will write new songs, and there will also be several Song Clinics – small groups of songwriters sharing their songs with a professional songwriter and receiving feedback.
It will be held in Devon at a fantastic location called Seale Hayne, near Newton TQ12 6NQ. If you need lifts to or from the station we will organise that for you.

All levels of songwriters are welcomed and supported appropriately.
You will:
– have space and time to just think and write
– write at least two new songs to a brief
– take your existing songs to song clinics (small groups with expert critiques of your songs)
– book one to ones with specialist attention (guitar playing for songwriters, lyric writing, etc)
– take part in group workshops & exercises
– enjoy evening song sharing and fun
– eat delicious lunches, evening meals, barbecue
– soak up some sunshine (well…there was sunshine last year!)
– get networking
– take part in Q&A sessions
We have a wonderful team of facilitators (some of this country’s finest songwriters and most experienced teachers) who run workshops, one to ones and group sessions and there is also space for just writing and forming ideas:

Residential includes:  Breakfast on Fri, Sat, Sun – Lunch on Fri, Sat, and Sun – Evening meals on Thurs, Fri & Sat  – Single bed accommodation Thurs, Fri & Sat in simple private room with sink – shared bathroom facilities.
Ensuite/doubles available for a supplement.  Also Glamping is an option – please ask for details.
Non Residential includes all the above but not the bed and breakfast.
It’s open to all ages, so last year the youngest participant was 16 and the oldest was 61 and so it is a rich melting pot of experience.
